of January 4th, 2005 was called to order by with the Pledge
of Allegiance by Mayor Bickley.
Roll Call: Present - Bagnato, Dickman, Fox, Jenkins and Wolf.
Kovesdi-absent.
Motion by Fox seconded by Jenkins to approve the Minutes
of December 15th, 2005. Vote-all yeas, motion carried.
Motion by Fox, seconded by Dickman to pay the Council Bills
for December 28th, 2004 in the amount of $27,167.80. Vote-all
yeas, motion carried.
Motion by Dickman, seconded by Fox to pay the Utility Bills
for December 28th, 2004 in the amount of $60,419.81. Vote-all
yeas, motion carried.
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
Erie County Commissioner Sparky Weilnau encouraged working
with AMP Ohio for wind generation for Erie County. Proposes
sites could be NASA, Huron at the end of the pier and any
other area where the wind looked good. At the Bowling Green
dedication of their windmills, Erie County was represented
by Mike Tann, Terry Graham, both from Huron, Commissioner
Sparky Weilnau, NASA's Bob Kozar and Milan's Mayor Bob Bickley.
The 2005 Committees will stay the same as 2004.
Motion by Jenkins, seconded by Bagnato to nominate John Fox
as Council President. Motion by Dickman, seconded by Bagnato
to close nominations. Vote-all yeas, Fox is Council President,
motion carried.
OLD COMMITTEE BUSINESS
Streets, Sidewalks and Storm Sewers-None
Safety-A copy of the electric scooter ordinance was referred
to Chief Ward who would like gasoline scooters included as
well.
Motion by Fox, seconded by Wolf to approve and end Sergeant
Robert Meister's one year probation and award him 75 cent
raise. All probationary or anniversary raises awarded on the
same day as cost of living raises will be awarded before the
cost of living raise. Vote-all yeas, motion carried.

NEW COMMITTEE BUSINESS
Streets, Sidewalks, and Storm Sewers -Motion by Fox, seconded
by Bagnato to hold all committee meetings on the first and
third Tuesdays of the month at 6 o'clock in Council Chambers.
The Finance Committee will meet on the first Monday of each
month a 1:00 p.m. in the Fiscal Officers office. This will
follow through the entire year, being posted only once. Any
further postings would be for cancellations only.
Safety-Motion by Dickman, seconded by Fox to accept the resignations
of Eric Constante and Josh Bryant effective January 1st, 2005.
Vote-all yeas, motion carried.
Finance-Part time police will receive their 3% raise on January
25th , 2005, which is their anniversary.

Utilities-None
Civic Contact and Historical Preservation-The Chamber of
Commerce will meet tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m.
Tickets will be distributed for the Chamber of Commerce banquet
on Saturday, February 5th.
