Mid-Summer Antiques Fest

The 13th Annual Mid-Summer Antiques Fest will be held Sunday, July 13th, 2008. The show takes place on Milan’s Historic Village Square from 8 am to 4 pm.

The show will feature more than fifty dealers from several states. Each dealer will display their own unique collection of antiques ranging from Early American Country to Primitive, Victorian and oak furniture. The show will feature folk art, early porcelains, glass, vintage clothing, jewelry, garden ornamentation and lots more. The show is strictly antiques and not reproductions or crafts.

Pam Crosby has managed the show from its inception. Over six months of preparation goes into getting ready for this event. Many hours are still spent dealing with advertising and gathering the right dealers and also making them happy with their space and accommodations. Flyers and postcards have been distributed since early February. Local advertising is done closer to the date of the show.

Pam volunteered to manage the Antiques Fest to promote Milan and its many wonderful merchants on the square, including Crosby’s Antiques, which has been in operation since 1983. Crosby hopes all the merchants will benefit from the event.

The event is free to the public. The Milan Chamber of Commerce proudly sponsors the event.

The Stylish Carriage Rides will be in town for four hours giving rides around the square.

The Antiques Fest has been successful since its beginning. All Contacts are in and all spaces have been filled.

Pam says, ‘Say a little prayer so Mother Nature gives us a beautiful day for the show’. The Chamber wishes everyone would come enjoy and help support this major event in our Beautiful Historic Village of Milan.
